Sinopsis The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers 2002

Kisah heroik Frodo dan Fellowship of the Ring kembali dalam The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Bersetting tepat setelah The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo (Elijah Wood) dan Sam (Sean Astin) melanjutkan perjalanan mereka menuju Mordor, ditemani oleh Gollum (Andy Serkis). Sementara itu, Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), dan Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) bertemu kembali dengan Gandalf yang berhasil lolos dari maut saat berada di Moria, berusaha menyelamatkan Merry (Dominic Monaghan) dan Pippin (Billy Boyd) yang diculik oleh para Orcs.

Saruman (Christopher Lee) kini mengumpulkan pasukan Orcsnya dan menyatukan The Two Towers, yakni menara Orthanc and Barad-dûr, menara milik Sauron. Petualangan mereka kembali berlanjut dalam film kedua dari trilogi The Lord of the Rings milik Peter Jackson ini I have to say this one more time: Buset, panjang banget filmnya, 235 menit untuk yang versi extended. Middle Earth masih tetap megah seperti film pendahulunya, dan yang keren adalah epic battle antara Orcs dan Rohan, serta Orcs dan Ents. Sayangnya, alur terasa sangat lambat bagi saya saat memasuki menit ke 90-an, tentang Theoden dan keluarganya, juga kisah Faramir yang hendak memberikan The Ring kepada ayahnya.
